The season is now in full swing, and we all think we know the relative pace of each driver, team and engine combination. But could you choose the right ones to make a winning team, and could you do it with a limited budget? Following last years very successful BAR-Talk.com Fantasy Formula One, we're repeating it for the 2006 season. The championship kicks off with the San Marino Grand Prix on 23 April, so you've got plenty of time to work out your best team and get your entry in. To take part, all you need to do is submit a team. Follow the basic rules below, and you could have a championship winning team. You have $80 million to spend on your F1 team, and you can spend it how you wish. However, you need to buy a chassis supplier, an engine supplier, some tyres and two drivers. Don't think you can just go and buy the best of everything though, as your budget won't stretch to that. Full rules are here, and the points scoring system is here, but basically you'll get points for finishing higher up, points for qualifying, and lose points for retirements due to driver error or mechanical failure. You'll get points for both drivers, both chassis and both engines, and the top two finishers on your chosen tyre. You'll also have the opportunity of making changes to your line up through the season. So what are you waiting for? Enter now using the menu on the left! |
